Zipporah was always kind of sickly when she was born, which is why she is weak physically today. In her birth pride, her and her parents were separated very early in life by their dominate male, who thought he was doing the right thing by keeping a weakling such as Zipporah away from the rest of his pride. But her parents argued about this, so the dominant male decided to let Zipporah stay on one condition: That she leave later on if she showed no usefulness.
Zipporah stayed, and once older desperately tried to show her ruler that she was, indeed, useful, but he didn't find her useful "enough", so he sent her away once she was old enough to fend for herself.
After a long trek around, what felt like, the world she finally stumbled upon a pride that would accept her, despite the fact that she was feeble. She is now a medic and tries her very best to get things done and help others.
